I can't believe you wore that to my 21st party....!!!

Yes, that was the theme for Grant's 21st party which we had on Saturday 10 January 2009. Here are pictures of some of the people and how they came dressed up, or not. This is a selection of pictures taken while the speeches were taking place:

This is a selection when Grant was blowing out the candles on the cakes. Debbie made and iced all the cupcakes, which were really yummy:
The birthday boy, just having soo much fun .....

Some of the dressed up guests ....

And some more ....

And even more ...

We hired the Pinetown Athletic Clubhouse and arranged a lamb on the spit with Le Ouma. They came in and did all the meat as well as the salads and also supplied all the crockery and cutlery - which certainly took a load off me. I bought 2 hot snack platters and put out some chips and dips as well.
Between Grant and Dereck, they organised some music on Grant's laptop and later on in the evening everyone (well almost everyone) took to the floor dancing. We had some line dancing and even some sakkie sakkie.
We all had a really great time and I was most impressed with some of the outfits people wore and the trouble they took to dress up.
I certainly think that it was a party that Grant will remember for a long time.
Again, Happy 21st Grant and may you have many more happy birthdays in the future.
Proud mom signing off ...............

Now, this is what a real party should look like. What a great idea for a 21st b'day cake ... love the cupcakes in the shape of 21. The guests really 'came to the party'. Hope you've recovered from all this. Hugs from Desire

Wow, love the cake idea & looks like all the kids had a blast. Tks for your comments. Seem all us bloggers are in the same predicament with family totally disassociating themselves from our blogs - they obviously have no idea how much that hurts us. As for not being able to leave a comment - if I can work it out anyone can...really...
